Senior Director of Strategy, Purpose

 

As Senior Director of Strategy at Purpose, Laura (she/her/hers) helps organizations across sectors to develop effective campaigning, communication and movement building strategies that deliver real-world impact on the world’s biggest issues. With a career that has spanned Europe, Asia and the US, she brings strategic rigour, creative thinking and an international perspective to reimagining the ways that organizations and citizens can be a force for good in the world.

Laura holds a principal role across several of Purpose’s most strategic client relationships, tackling issues including sustainability, human rights, civic engagement, gender equality, economic inequality and climate. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, she also serves as Purpose’s Private Sector Lead, developing intellectual property and thought leadership on the role of the private sector in delivering societal impact.

Before joining Purpose, Laura founded her own consultancy in New Delhi, working extensively in global supply chains to deliver equitable and sustainable outcomes. She is a published writer on human rights in global apparel supply chains and completed her postgraduate thesis on evolving compliance systems across suppliers and buyers at the Cambridge University Institute for Sustainable Leadership.

Laura is also Executive Producer of Women in Labour, a comedy-driven podcast that drives public dialogue on issues of women and work in India.
